After living in Asia for several years, Désirée grew to love Korean beauty products. They are not only amazingly effective, but also based on natural ingredients – and of course a lot of them are just super cute!

Back to Europe, even in a city like Zurich, she could not find any of them. Buying online was not better either, as all stores were located in Asia – high shipping cost, import tax, and a long wait for the products.

We wanted a place, where we can find the best Korean beauty products plus complete information about the products and how to apply them.

Knowing we weren't the only ones looking for such a place, we decided to create Niniko. Having years of experience in digital marketing and e-commerce we have the perfect skill set to create a user-friendly platform for you.

Our Challenge

To date, Korean cosmetics are not widely available in Europe & the US. Buying them from Asian retailers online often means high shipping cost, import tax and a long wait for the products – and you can never be sure whether they sell the real thing or just a knock off.

Besides trendsetters, a lot of people have the misconception, that Asian cosmetics are just cute and playful, but are not very effective compared to western cosmetics. Never have they been more wrong! Thanks to government investment in R&D, South Korean beauty products are said to be 7 years ahead of the rest of the world in product development.
